Summary of Chapter 269 Jujutsu Kaisen
The chapter started with Maki Zenin confronting Yuta Okkotsu and revealing that he is still alive. All of the surviving Jujutsu magicians who fought Ryomen Sukuna during the Shinjuku arc gathered to discuss and evaluate the ordeal they had endured.
Atsuya Kusakabe, one of the last remaining members of the Tokyo Jujutsu High Faculty, revealed to Yuuji that he supported the school’s decision to execute him after he became Sukuna’s vessel. Atsuya Satoru blamed Gojo for the whole ordeal with Sukuna, insisting that Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki shouldn’t feel guilty.
Yuta then explained how he returned to his body after being briefly taken by Gojo during the fight with Sukuna. Since Rika didn’t follow Yutaro into Gojo’s body, she used her reverse curse technique with the help of Shoko Ieiri to repair and preserve Yutau’s original body.
Maki criticized their plan against Sukuna, saying that he should have captured Kenjaku, and Hiromi Higurama used Toge Inumaki’s recorded curse words when fighting Sukuna. However, Aoi Todo countered, explaining that he couldn’t use his Boogie Woogie technique on Maki because he didn’t have the damn energy. He also noted that Toge’s cursed recorded speech could only be used once.
Hiromi joined the discussion and explained that they only had a chance because Sukuna wasn’t taking them seriously. Hiromi believed that if Sukuna had truly felt threatened, he would have died instantly.
The group initially blamed Suguru’s partners Geto, Miguel and Laru for not helping them in the beginning of the fight against Sukuna. However, they soon realized that they could have made better choices that could have led to a more favorable outcome.
Mei Mei and Atsuya then discussed how the great families in the Jujutsu world held a monopoly on powerful techniques such as the New Shadow Style, and set unreasonable intentions to control their students and maintain their dominant status.
Atsuya revealed that he has become the new leader of the New Shadow Style and plans to remove the Binding Wow requirement for future users.
The chapter ended with Mei Mei discovering the Master of the Simple Domain Technique, which she planned to use to train her disciples and compete with powerful families in the Jujutsu world.
Mei Mei noted that if it were not for the greed of these families in monopolizing such valuable equipment, many witches would have survived. The chapter was closed by killing the person controlling the Simple Domain technique.

According to Shueisha’s official Manga Plus app, the next chapter of the manga will be released Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PT).
